The No’s are pulling away here. The voting is almost “party line” between functional leaders and company leaders. That’s not a healthy dynamic for any of us. At this point, I’d like to ask not for your vote one way or the other, but for you to share your perspective on this issue. We need to better understand each other.

Let me ask you a really, really hard question. If you answer Yes, please say why you believe that. If you answer No, why is that your answer? We all want to see ourselves as adding Value to the Business, and for the most part, we do. But what if you have been doing your profession for 20-30 years and are no closer to demonstrating, forecasting, and optimizing your value? At what point should the Business just see you as a service delivery team that should cost as little as possible?
