At our 2024 Project Sunshine Gala, we were honored to highlight the heartwarming story of the Veras Family. They were introduced to Project Sunshine by Elssy Rosales, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital. Witnessing how our programs positively impacted their lives was truly inspiring. Watch the full video here https://lnkd.in/ep9dnB57.

Thank you to the incredible Siemens Healthineers volunteers for dedicating their time and energy to pack 3,000 activity kits for children in hospitals! We truly appreciate this partnership and are thrilled that these kits will bring some joy and light to patients this holiday season.

This holiday season, I joined 200 Siemens Healthineers colleagues from Palo Alto, CA, and Tarrytown, NY, in a volunteer effort for Project Sunshine. We came together to assemble 3,000 activity kits for hospitalized children in the U.S. It was incredibly rewarding to partner with my colleagues across our Diagnostics, Ultrasound, and Varian businesses to support such a heartwarming cause. Project Sunshine has brought the healing power of play to more than 250,000 kids in hospitals. A huge thank you to all involved in this day of giving to help children who need and truly deserve some cheer this holiday season.💛🎁 #SiemensHealthineers #ProjectSunshine #Teamwork #GivingBack #HealingThroughPlay

Project Sunshine Kenya brought smiles and unforgettable moments to children and families, ending the year on a high note: • During Family Day, volunteers organized a resort outing for children and families, fostering bonding through swimming, meals, and team activities. • Volunteers brought joy and care to orphanages through activities like singing and dancing and providing essentials like food, soap, and clothing to promote hygiene. • On World Children’s Day, Bomu Hospital and Project Sunshine Kenya organized a play area with arts and crafts. Each child also received a balloon! • On World AIDS Day, volunteers supported more than 240 children and families affected by the disease. Participants, including the Ministry of Health, engaged in tree planting, face painting, arts and crafts, dance performances, and more!

Viatris employees hosted a fall festival themed party with Project Sunshine at Elmhurst Hospital. 18 volunteers created flower bouquets, decorated magic scratch leaves and tote bags, crafted picture frames, and wind chimes with 25 children and families. They even engaged in a fun game of basketball, making it a memorable event for everyone involved!

During the PA Market AOP at Penn State, over 100 people helped pack bags for Project Sunshine. If you are not aware, Project Sunshine is a program which helps out children that are in the hospitals over the holidays. These bags are filled with toys and items that will keep the children entertained while at a critical part of their life. In all, we packaged over a 1000 bags that will go all over the country, including Penn State Hershey Medical Center Children’s Hospital. It took the full PA market team, customer teams and sector partners to make all of the bags. It was great to see this all come together. A special thanks to John Seidel for getting all the supplies and Terry Burd for helping set this up with his team! My favorite Landing Point tradition is helping Project Sunshine bring a little bit of play into kids lives around the holidays. Grateful we were able to partner with them again this time of year.
🎁 Making a difference together! This week, our team joined forces with Project Sunshine to assemble gift bags for children facing extended hospital stays. These care packages will help bring smiles and joy to children and their families during challenging times. We’re proud to support Project Sunshine’s incredible mission of brightening the lives of those in need and grateful for the opportunity to give back as a team, year after year. 💛 #GivingBack #ProjectSunshine #CommunityImpact

This holiday season, Standard employees gathered in the office to give back to our community through the work of our nonprofit partners Citymeals on Wheels and Project Sunshine. We kicked off the week with longtime partner Citymeals on Wheels to create 80 handmade holiday cards to accompany meals delivered to older New Yorkers. Later in the week, we teamed up with Project Sunshine for the fourth consecutive year, assembling nearly 600 therapeutic and engaging play kits for pediatric patients across the country. #StandardGivesBack
