In honor of #VeteransDay, Pretium hosted a Lunch & Learn to discuss veterans’ integration into the private workforce, highlighting the unique strategic value that veterans offer and how higher education can empower veterans to transition their skills to the finance industry. The panel included Ted Huffman, Pretium’s Head of Strategic Development (Lieutenant, US Navy), Kevin A Relihan, Pretium Managing Director (Lieutenant, US Navy), Andrew Borene, Executive Director at Flashpoint (1st Lieutenant, United States Marine Corps), and Kaedy Puckett Molley, Manager of Individual Philanthropy at the Warrior-Scholar Project (Petty Officer 1st Class, US Navy). “Veterans bring great value to the workforce because we had a unique training ground and come with a multitude of skills. We come with the ability to work within a team and to lead. We're a bit fearless. We're creative. We can think outside the box,” said Molley.

The issue of housing undersupply was at the top of the agenda at this year’s PENSION REAL ESTATE ASSOCIATION (PREA) Annual Institutional Investor Conference in Washington, D.C. Our founder and CEO Donald R Mullen Jr joined a panel moderated by Shelley Santulli of NEPC to discuss the long-term trends that have fueled the housing shortage, and ways that sources of private capital like Pretium are stepping in to provide financing to homebuilders and developers for new construction in markets that need it most. “We want to be in a position to help homebuilders build more homes and be a capital provider,” he said. #PREA2024 #PREAConference #RealEstate

“We look for dislocations that require high complexity to execute on. It’s more than just identifying assets. We’re in the business of finding assets and then operating the assets,” explained our founder and CEO Donald R Mullen Jr at this year's Pretium Investor Symposium, which explored the growing opportunities for investors in residential real estate, residential credit, structured credit and legal financing. Thank you to our clients and partners who joined us last month in New York City for our 2024 Investor Symposium. In partnership with New York Cares, we recently hosted a firmwide Volunteer Day to give back to our local community. In our office, volunteers packed essential hygiene kits for at-risk populations in support of Homes for the Homeless and Roads to Success. Thank you to our community partners for giving our team the opportunity to contribute. #GivingBack #Community #VolunteerDay
