Digging into ServiceTitan's S1 leading up to their explosive IPO, I was encouraged to see embedded Payments on full display as a core part of their business model. ST is now processing a whopping $62B in GTV!!! Trillions of dollars of commerce have been migrating off of legacy technology and distribution and becoming embedded within vertical-specific software. Circa 2016 a few select companies like ServiceTitan, Mindbody, AppFolio and Toast were trailblazing in investing in their "Share of Wallet" strategies and developing Platform Products to add more utility value to clients, create sticker customer experiences, and unlock serious latent revenue that was hiding within plain sight. ST Payments revolutionizing ServiceTitan's business model was the inspiration for William Corbera and me to build Payabli. We knew the next generation of VSaaS companies wanted to leverage a similar Payments playbook but needed a more modern, unified infrastructure to build, manage and scale their payments business.
