About us
Patricia Gianotti, Psy. D., is a licensed psychologist, an author, a lecturer, and an educator. She has over twenty years of experience as a clinical psychologist and has worked with individuals, couples, and groups on integrating the spiritual and psychological aspects of the human psyche. Her work is focused on discovering the process and journey towards forgiveness, finding personal and spiritual balance, and exploring life’s deepest questions in order to find purpose and meaning. Dr. Gianotti believes that the art and practice of psychotherapy begins by creating a solid and safe therapeutic relationship. This is foundational because it is only when you create a safe, relational container that the unfolding process of therapy can occur. It is out of that safe space that therapist and client can gradually begin to explore past relational injuries, uncover repressed memories that inhibit growth and development, grieve what was lost, and discover aspects of the self that were either unknown or forbidden to exist. She is the author of three books, and her latest book, Embracing Therapeutic Complexity: A Guidebook to Integrating the Essential of Psychodynamic Principles Across Therapeutic Disciplines, focuses on fundamental touchstones that enable clinicians to apply an integrative treatment model in the service of in-depth healing and growth.

For eight years, I've been involved with the Institute for Advanced Psychotherapy at Loyola University Chicago (IAP), a year-long program for licensed psychotherapists. As we enter our 9th year, we've established the Jack Danielian Scholarship Fund to support marginalized clients by offering half-tuition scholarships to qualified therapists. We've raised $7,200 so far, enough for two therapists, but need another $6,800 to support two more candidates. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. Please download the attached letter for more information. Thank you so much for considering this request to make a tangible difference. Best Wishes, Patricia

As we strive for a more equitable society, it's crucial to examine how traditional therapeutic approaches can be adapted to better serve diverse populations and address systemic inequalities.
