This year was a big one for Camp OBR, our retreat on Lake of the Ozarks where we welcome military members, veterans, families of fallen heroes, first responders, and their loved ones. In June, we celebrated the completion of renovations, and throughout the year, we hosted 11 incredible events that brought connection, healing, and joy to so many. Then, in July, tragedy struck—a devastating fire destroyed our newly built facilities and essential equipment. But thanks to the generosity of our amazing partners and supporters like you, we’re making steady progress on the road to rebuilding. Even with this setback, Camp OBR didn’t stop. We kept going, providing culinary therapy, outdoor experiences, and meaningful connections for the heroes and families we serve. While we're best known for our disaster relief efforts, our mission to serve extends far beyond emergency response. Through The Always Serving Project, we honor those dedicated to service by providing year-round support. This includes Meals of Gratitude, BBQ Education, and Culinary Therapy for Military Members, Veterans, Families of the Fallen, First Responders, and their loved ones. Additionally, we serve hot meals to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity or homelessness. In 2024, this program provided 43,300 meals at 87 events (and counting!)
