So happy to welcome TaeYoung Shin to the OneSky team. Since his start, TaeYoung has been contributing his software engineering expertise to enhance OneSky’s UATM offerings and manage the K-UAM GC UATM system requirements. He has an impressive background with over twenty years experience in software analysis, design, implementation, and testing. And for the last decade, he's been a part of the UAM (Urban Air Mobility) and Aviation industry, in both technical and customer facing roles. Outside of work, TaeYoung enjoys biking around roads and places to where he hasn't yet been. Join us in welcoming TaeYoung to OneSky!

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share news of the passing of our dear friend and colleague, Chris Kucera.  Chris and his partner Zach Hatcher passed away yesterday evening when the plane they were flying in crashed on takeoff at MacArthur Airport in Ronkonkoma, NY.  Chris touched our lives in ways that words can scarcely capture. As an aerospace engineer and seasoned pilot, Chris soared to great heights, not just in the skies but also in our hearts. His passion for aviation was matched only by his infectious sense of humor, which brightened even the most challenging days. To know Chris was to experience his unwavering optimism and his boundless curiosity about the world. Whether recounting thrilling flight stories or sharing a witty remark, he never failed to leave us smiling. His dedication to his craft and his friendship were testaments to the remarkable person he was. As we navigate this profound loss, let us cherish the memories we hold dear and celebrate the life of someone who taught us to reach for the stars. Rest peacefully, dear friend. You will forever remain in our hearts.

This press release from American Aerospace Technologies, Inc. is some of the most impactful news I have read all year. This quote from David Yoel sums it up: “For the first time, an uncrewed aircraft weighing more than 55 pounds that flies above 400 feet above ground level has been approved for commercial Beyond Visual Line-of-Sight operations in the United States, opening a new era in uncrewed aviation in the National Airspace System.” OneSky is proud to be a partner of the American Aerospace Technologies team and we look forward to working with them as they take advantage of their new, first of it’s kind BVLOS waiver and exemption.
