Dr. Adrienne Bitar, a food studies scholar at Cornell, and Dr. Jennifer Han, a clinical pharmacist, are the visionary founders of Seen Nutrition. Inspired by Jennifer's diagnosis of a rare form of osteoporosis, they combined their expertise in food and medicine to create a calcium chew that's both delicious and impactful. Made with local milk protein and naturally sweetened with dates, customers rave about its caramel-like flavor, wholesome ingredients, and affordable price. With guidance from Michael Herceg, a business advisor at the Small Business Development Center at Binghamton University, Adrienne and Jennifer launched their LLC, secured a Dairy Business Innovation Center grant, and connected with local resources like the Cornell Food Science Center. The SBDC's Research Network was pivotal, providing FDA product safety and industry insights that shaped Seen Nutrition's development and grant application. "The support we've received from Michael and the Binghamton SBDC has been rocket fuel for our start-up," they shared. The calcium chew may be the beginning for Seen Nutrition, whose mission is to create real food supplements that help women feel seen. #WomenEntrepreneurs #FoodInnovation #StartupSuccess #NewYearNewGoals

One of the standout moments of 2024 was our State Conference, hosted by the SUNY Canton SBDC in Lake Placid. This year's conference wasn't just a valuable learning opportunity—it was also a celebration of our 40th anniversary, set against the stunning backdrop of Lake Placid and its rich Olympic history. The event showcased the strength of our network, the dedication of our team, and the milestones we've achieved together.
