👏 Congratulations to our partner Equinor for securing financing for Empire Wind 1! Based at the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal, this project is a major step towards strengthening New York City’s #GreenEconomy and #OffshoreWind industry, aiming to deliver renewable energy to half a million New Yorkers by 2027.

🏙️ New York City is an incredible place to do business, and 2024 was proof! From Chobani and OpenAI to Aeterlink and EBC Energy, domestic and international companies alike chose to bring, stay, or expand their operations here, helping generate over 1,700 jobs for New Yorkers and further strengthening the city's economy.

NYCEDC is launching a new initiative to create an Economic Mobility Network in two pilot locations–Sunset Park and Hunts Point–and invites nonprofit organizations to submit proposals to be the Network Operator.
