🎉 Investing in the Future of the NM Borderplex! 🎉 We’re proud to celebrate the growth of Monti, Inc. with a special check presentation! This milestone was made possible through the collaboration of MVEDA, El Paso Electric Company, Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico, and the NM Borderplex Closing Incentive Advisory Committee. The NM Borderplex Closing Incentive is a locally managed, post-performance cash grant designed to fuel economic growth in the #NMBorderplex. Awards are granted based on projects that: ✅ Demonstrate clear public purpose and economic benefit ✅ Invest directly in tax-producing assets (land or buildings) ✅ Create permanent jobs in our region Monti Inc.’s expansion exemplifies the transformative impact of this incentive, bringing new opportunities and significant investment to southern New Mexico. Together, we’re building a stronger, thriving community! #EconomicDevelopment #BorderplexGrowth #MVEDA #PublicPrivatePartnerships #MontiInc #CommunityImpact Brian Tibbs Nate Duhl Brian Garcia JessicaLyn Robles Christopher Schaljo-Hernandez Scott Andrews, Ed.D. 🌟 Excited to share some news🌟 For a while now, #MVEDA Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance have been working tirelessly to bring cold storage facilities to our region. This critical infrastructure is vital to support our incredible agricultural community and ensure the freshness and quality of our produce. Proud of our team’s dedication and the partnerships we've built along the way. Looking forward to seeing the positive impact this will have on our local economy and farmers. Thank you to everyone who's been part of this journey! 🚀 #EconomicDevelopment #Agriculture #ColdStorage #CommunitySupport
The developer pointed to the region's proximity to the border and to local food producers as drivers of the purchase.

🚂 Santa Teresa Gateway #Rail Park: A Hub of Opportunity in the NMBorderplex The Santa Teresa Gateway Rail Park (STGRP) is a 1,300-acre, master-planned industrial development with direct access to affordable, rail-served land. As the only commerce center directly connected to Union Pacific’s Intermodal Complex in Santa Teresa, it offers unmatched logistics advantages. The UP Complex spans nearly 2,200 acres, featuring 74,000 feet of track and limitless expansion potential. STGRP is strategically located within a 12-mile overweight zone along the U.S.-Mexico border. This zone allows trucks to carry up to 96,000 pounds of cargo, far surpassing the U.S. standard of 80,000 pounds. This development is also part of the Bi-National Community Master Plan, covering 70,000 acres and endorsed by the governors of New Mexico and Mexico. #NMBorderplex is emerging as North America's trade epicenter, recognized globally by suppliers and consumers. Our region is booming with over $1 billion in new investments and nearly 5,000 jobs created in the past five years. 📈 Discover more about the growth and opportunities at Santa Teresa Gateway Rail Park here.
