Our team came together to make the holidays brighter by collecting toys for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. We're so proud to have such a generous team and to be able spread holiday cheer to our local community! 

We recently celebrated the ribbon cutting at Carol Ave Apartments! This rehab project in the Allston-Brighton neighborhood consisted of a deep energy retrofit and fully electrifying 33 solar ready rental units, including 29 affordable homes, helping to meet a critical need in the community with consideration to affordability and sustainability. We’re proud to have partnered with Allston Brighton CDC, Davis Square Architects, Community Square Associates LLC, David Levy, Tierney Development Services, LLC, BLW Engineers, New Ecology, Inc., and The Mayors Office of Housing to bring this project to life. Together, we’re creating more opportunities for affordable and sustainable housing while strengthening communities!

Today, NEI attended the Massachusetts "All In" on Passive House Symposium, and it was a great, informative day with Passive House Massachusetts. The event focused on advancing what we know and exploring how we can continue improving to ensure successful outcomes in sustainable design. Excited to carry these insights forward and continue pushing the boundaries of energy-efficient building!

Here’s a first look at the units at Pok Oi Residences, currently under construction in the heart of Boston’s vibrant Chinatown neighborhood. These spacious 1, 2, and 3 bedroom apartments will soon provide 85 new affordable homes for individuals and families at or below 80% of the area’s median income. The units are designed to meet Passive House sustainability standards with modern finishes and thoughtful layouts, creating a welcoming space for all.
