This update is important for our lenders and appraisers as it outlines new borrower disclosures that reinforce clarity and trust in the valuation process. Here’s what you need to know: 🔹 Why the Change? The ROV policy update aims to enhance transparency and give borrowers a clear understanding of the valuation used in their loan application. This empowers them to ask questions and provides a more supportive process for raising any concerns. 🔹 Key Disclosures: Borrowers will now receive two disclosures: • Initial Disclosure at loan application for early insights into the appraisal process. • Post-Appraisal Disclosure once the appraisal is complete, allowing borrowers to review the valuation and request an ROV if they feel it doesn't reflect the property's true value. 🔹 Communication Matters: Lenders play a critical role in ensuring borrowers understand the purpose of these disclosures.
