  • "Shea said what made the announcement most noteworthy was the fact that if brand owners did not manually correct non-compliant titles before January 21st, Amazon would automatically update them using AI-generated titles. 'For anyone who doubts Amazon's seriousness in AI - They are confident enough in their AI models to deploy them on ~$150B of commerce,' he said." Thanks to EcommerceBytes for the shoutout! 22% of products on Amazon are not compliant with the new product titling requirements that Amazon just announced. 🤯 As expected, Amazon announced the following new product title requirements on January 1st to go into effect on January 25th. 1. <200 Characters 2. No Special Characters 3. Cannot use the same word more than twice New research from Momentum Commerce indicates that 22% of all products on the platform are not compliant with these requirements. The biggest reason? Yup - you guessed it. Good ol' keyword stuffing. 1 in 5 product titles has the same word more than twice. The distribution of sales across the compliant and non-compliant products is about the same. As such, 22% of Amazon Sales currently come from products that are not compliant. What's truly newsworthy here - is that if Brand Owners don't manually correct non-compliant titles before January 21st, Amazon will automatically update them using AI-generated titles. For anyone who doubts Amazon's seriousness in AI - They are confident enough in their AI models to deploy them on ~$150B of commerce. Wild stuff. 🤯 Let me know in the comments if you want more detail on specific categories, brands or recommendations on how to set yourself up for success here. 3 Amazon Trends from Holiday 2024 shopping trends so far... 1. Amazon pulled demand forward by making deals available onsite a full 8 days before Thanksgiving. Consumers responded and T-12 sales were up +27% YoY. 2. Demand peaked in the evening hours of Cyber Monday as consumers rushed to take advantage of deals before they disappeared. 3. Between now and the shipping cut-off, we expect each day to see slightly more shopping activity than the day before. Happy Holidays! 🎄

  • Momentum Commerce clients brought their A-game this Turkey 12 🔥 We’d like to take a moment to give a massive shoutout to our incredible Client Teams. Your relentless dedication, strategic expertise, and tireless efforts are the backbone of these results. None of this would have been possible without you! Swipe through to check out some of our wins! #turkey12 #cyberweek #amazonus

  • In the final hours of #CyberMonday, a massive wave of last-minute shoppers drove peak activity that outpaced the busiest hours of #BlackFriday. This late surge underscored a shift in consumer behavior, with shoppers waiting until the eleventh hour to snag deals. During the Cyber Monday peak, CPCs for Sponsored Brands and Sponsored Product Ads fell significantly, even as sales volumes climbed. While this created a prime opportunity for brands to capture high-value conversions at lower costs, many were constrained by budget caps. As a result, many of these brands missed out on the full impact of the late sales, leaving potential revenue on the table. Cyber Monday’s final push is a valuable reminder: preparedness and adaptability can turn last-minute opportunities into significant wins. #turkey5 #cyberweek
