Thinking outside the box and pushing limits are critical to delivering the kind of care patients need. Often, both are discussed in the context of tech innovation. And that's important. But as Laurene Powell Jobs reminds in a year-end letter in which she highlights Midi (https://lnkd.in/eeHUqhJV), caring for people will always also require a human touch. Here's to a 2025 where more women get the personalized, empathic care they need and deserve. Happy New Year, all. #healthtech #midihealth

Closing a $60M series round B, opening in all 50 states, and partnering with more insurance companies, health systems, and partners in 2024 definitely has us breaking out the noisemakers. 🥳 But as we look back on this year (check out our year-in-review video below), we're most proud of the fact that our 🚀 growth has allowed us to connect with more women who need and deserve expert midlife care. Our 2025 is set to be even bigger and better. We're grateful to our partners for their commitment to providing women access to better care and invite others to follow their lead. Our mission to give women the care they deserve is not only alive, but stronger than ever. And as we continue to grow, we'll never lose sight of what matters above all—the quality of our care. Here's to a happy, healthy New Year in which all of us truly thrive.

Certain foods can help women maintain their health, including a healthy weight, and better manage menopause symptoms. Unfortunately, none of the seasonal treats hanging around this time of year are on the list. 🍪 👎 😭 On the plus side, women don’t need to overhaul the way they eat all at once to see a difference. (And if they want to wait until January 2 to get started, well, that’s OK with us. 😉 ) Learn how estrogen affects metabolism, what foods support hormonal balance, and more in our new Midi Explains Blog: https://lnkd.in/ezkESjVM #menopausediet #womenshealth #nutrition #midihealth

Peri/menopause can be a pain in the neck. And the knees. And the hands. While most people associate this phase with symptoms like hot flashes and mood swings, declining estrogen can contribute to joint and muscle aches, too. AARP spoke with Midi Chief Medical Officer Kathleen Jordan, MD about why this occurs and what women can do about it in their new article: https://lnkd.in/eR5uvbCf #menopause #perimenopause #hormones #MSK #jointpain #midihealth

Testosterone is most often associated with men. But women have testosterone, too. And as levels decline in midlife, their sex drive❤️🔥, bone health 🦴 , muscle mass 💪 , and possibly their brain function 🧠 may be impacted. There is no FDA-approved testosterone product for women in the U.S. 👎 But evidence for its use for these indications is mounting, leading expert clinicians to prescribe it off-label.⚕️ Learn more about the safety of testosterone use in women, the benefits real patients using it are seeing, and more in our new Midi Explains blog: https://lnkd.in/eFXWpBJj #testosterone #HRT #womenshealth #menopause #midihealth

There's a lot to unpack in The Cut's recent article, "The Perimenopause Gold Rush" (https://lnkd.in/gvJvb94D). And we feel it's really important to do just that. It is true that there has been a wave of menopause care companies and products trying to get the attention of women struggling with peri/menopause symptoms. The momentum behind all of this, of course, stems from a serious gap in women's healthcare and a dearth of menopause research. Women are more convinced than ever that there has to be more to life than the reality their symptoms leave them to deal with. And their eyes and ears are wide open for solutions—any solutions—that will help them. Many are finding safe and effective relief, including the hundreds of thousands of women who have connected with Midi. And that's a beautiful thing. 💙 The air breathing life into the moment menopause is having isn't all good, though, as the author points out. While it's giving rise to reputable solutions that truly help women, it's also making way for others that offer false hope and prey on women's unmet needs and vulnerabilities. And there is money being made. The author herself spent $10,700+ in her quest for symptom relief only to get nothing in return. She's right—there are lots of questionable products and self-proclaimed "experts" targeting women and making claims that are simply unfounded. And yes, Midi's "Menopause is Hot" T-shirt can't get women closer to feeling better, as she says. But the kind of care we offer can—and that matters. Midi's care is: ⚕️ Delivered via virtual visits with our expert clinicians—nurse practitioners, nurse midwives, doctors, and naturopathic doctors—all of whom are specially trained in peri/menopause care 📑 Guided by evidence-informed protocols developed and routinely updated by multi-disciplinary experts 🔬 Rooted in the latest science: We act on the best-available research to treat women in the unfortunate absence of a robust, traditional evidence base. 💁♀️ Personalized, because the only way to help a woman is to account for her unique symptoms, health history, and preferences ☂️ Covered by insurance, because we want Midi to be as accessible and affordable as possible Midi was born because our founders needed expert menopause care and had a hell of a time getting it. They were determined to create a trusted solution for other women struggling with symptoms, just like they were. That's not just a business opportunity to us—it's a responsibility. And it's personal. We take that seriously and we always will. So, as menopause solutions flood more of women's social feeds or otherwise enter their consciousness, we encourage them to bring a critical eye to claims and evaluate the qualifications of who is making them. And if they're interested in working with Midi to feel their best, we're here. https://shorturl.at/mVOxH

We’ve celebrated many successes over the past few years—not just our own, but those of peers working to make a difference. The fact is that growth of 💵 funded 💵 women’s health companies means there will be even more to come. And, at the end of the day, that means better and more accessible care for more women. 💗 Midi CEO and Founder Joanna Strober spoke more on this at yesterday’s first-ever White House Conference on Women’s Health Research. #womenshealth #womenhelpingwomen #womeninbusiness #femtech #midihealth

Employee Benefit News recently published three tips on making menopause benefits more inclusive and we're here to give #3 a special 👍 . https://lnkd.in/eQ9eGsiK By clearly articulating that company policies (e.g., like the use of mental health days) apply to menopause, employers not only remove any doubt—they help women feel more comfortable taking advantage of the support available to them. 📣 Talk about menopause. 👄 USE THE WORD. 🫶 Normalize it in conversations about health and wellness. #menopause #menopausemenopausemenopausemenopause #midihealth
