Crafting this elliptical dome at Western Kentucky University's Gordon Ford College of Business at Western Kentucky University was a feat of precision and teamwork! Each piece of framing and plywood was prefabricated and assembled onsite, while copper panels were meticulously field measured, cut to fit, and soldered together to ensure a watertight seal. The dome’s interior wall is currently being suspended from the steel structure with drywall and acoustic plaster and will stand tall above the monumental stairs. Our annual tradition of spreading Christmas joy to our friends at Indiana University Health North Hospital and Riley Children's Health Pediatric Unit has once again filled our hearts with warmth and gratitude. For 15 years running, the team at Messer Construction Co. has been part of this heartwarming journey, creating lasting memories with each visit. From the humble beginnings to the heartfelt connections made with patients, parents, and the dedicated hospital staff, every encounter leaves a lasting impact. I was so blessed to once again have my family shop for gifts with me, a tradition we cherish each year! Carl Dennin, Georgia Haffley, and Dominique Dunlap and I had the honor of utilizing the iconic Riley Children's Foundation 100th Year GIANT red wagon to deliver our gifts. Watching Carl skillfully navigate this "sleigh" through the hospital corridors was a sight to behold! The unwavering support and dedication of our team make this annual tradition possible, and we are immensely grateful for the opportunity to bring smiles and cheer year after year. As we reflect on this heartening experience, we eagerly anticipate continuing this tradition in 2025, spreading joy and goodwill in the years to come.
