About us
MATT Construction is a family- and employee-owned general contractor that has built some of the most memorable buildings in the western states. MATT’s portfolio is extremely diverse, with deep expertise in museum, education, hospitality, office, residential, life science, and studio work, as well as adaptive reuse projects, tenant improvements and expansions and sustainable/LEED projects. We’ve received the AIA Award four times for “contributions and commitment which have enriched the practice of architecture and the built environment... through partnership and collaboration with the architects.” We are proud of these achievements because they speak not only to what we build, but to how we build and to how we build up others.

Supporting Future Industry Leaders at Cal Poly Pomona! MATT is proud to partner with Cal Poly Pomona's Senior Design Project as the industry advisor for two interdisciplinary teams of architecture, civil engineering, and construction management students. This two-semester challenge tasks students with developing a real-world architectural design, structural plan, and construction strategy—including pricing, scheduling, and logistics. We hosted 24 students and their professors at our Santa Fe Springs office to review their progress, share feedback, and celebrate exceptional achievements.
