Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center’s (MARMC)sets the precedent for routine undocking. AFDL-6 Dynamic, the Navy’s oldest floating dry dock, undocks two Port workboats on November 26, 2024. This operation marks the tenth docking evolution since January 2024 for Dynamic since departing its own Depot Level Dry-dock Repair. As Dynamic prepares for its next mission, all eyes are on Cmdr. Stevenson and his crew, who stand ready to tackle any challenges ahead in service of the fleet and the nation. Job well done to the Dynamic crew! https://lnkd.in/ga_-z8rt

Last week, we celebrated the rich heritage and profound contributions of American Indians to our Navy and our nation. From the heroic code talkers of World War II to the Sailors and civilians who served today, American Indians have played a vital role in defending our country. The celebration brought our team together to honor this proud legacy, featuring traditional music, cultural displays, and powerful guest speakers. Their stories of resilience, leadership, and warrior spirit remind us of the strength and diversity that have shaped our Navy for generations.

More on-time #NAVSEAnews out of the Mid-Atlantic! Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC) showcased its critical role in naval readiness, after providing maintenance support to the Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group (CSG), enabling their on-time departure for Type Training. While supporting the Gerald R. Ford CSG, MARMC simultaneously supported several other ships, ultimately readying 10 warships to depart on-schedule, fully mission capable. This news follows Norfolk Naval Shipyard’s recent on-time completion of USS George H.W. Bush.
