One of the highlights of our year is attending the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting. We always enjoy catching up with local business owners, hearing about their growth over the past year, and offering our support as they face new challenges. This year, we’re especially proud to congratulate our CEO, Clayton Legear, for receiving the prestigious Jolly P. McCarty Award for Excellence in Leadership. This annual award, given since 2004, honors leaders who exemplify the qualities of a true servant leader—visionary, listener, promoter of positive change, and champion for the community. Before our students head off for the holiday break, we decided to stop by and share a few lessons. Throughout November, we hosted a few career fairs and stopped into a number of local schools to host the "A Banker in Every Classroom" program.
