🚨 Fraud Alert 🚨 The FBI in Louisiana has issued a warning about scammers impersonating bank representatives to gain access to accounts. Stay informed and protect yourself from fraud. 🔍 How it works: Scammers send fake texts that look like they're from your bank, asking about a transaction. When you respond, they call you (using a spoofed number) and request personal information. Once they have your info, they can take over your account. ⚠️ How to protect yourself: -- Pause: Don’t rush to respond to suspicious texts or calls. -- No Personal Info: Never share sensitive details like account numbers or Social Security numbers over text, email, or phone. -- Verify: Call your financial institution directly using their official number. If you suspect fraud or have been a victim, report it to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center at www.ic3.gov.
