Today while ordering a book from Amazon, I noticed these two UPI payment flows which Amazon has implemented to increase (slightly higher) their sales conversion. Let's break it down!! 💡Mainly a merchant can accept (or a customer can make) payment through UPI in two ways (of course there are others, but let's stick to these only for today). 💡So, once a user chooses to make a payment through the UPI method then under: a) Intent-based UPI Flow🔊 The merchant (i.e., Amazon) will show users all UPI apps (that are installed on the user's device - Yes, I don't use PhonePe as they have blocked me :P ) to choose UPI app for payment with a pre-filled payment amount. A user just needs to enter its UPI PIN to complete the transaction. b) Collect-based UPI Flow🔊 The user needs to enter the relevant UPI ID from which he/she wants to make payment and then the user has to Approve or Decline the payment to complete/decline the transaction followed by a UPI PIN. 💡The main difference between the above two is the 1. easy of convenience (as we always forget our UPI id) 2. Collect-based UPI Flow works on both Mobile App & Websites vs Intent-based UPI Flow works only on Android. 💡This small change by businesses can increase their sales conversion a bit higher through enhanced user experience, reduced payment failures, faster checkouts etc.

Grabbing Attention or Driving Orders? I got this push notification from Zomato : "Akansha is on leave. So today, I'm asking you to order lunch – Shefali, marketing team." It’s quirky, fun, and definitely grabs attention. But it got me thinking – what’s Zomato really trying to do here? Are they just aiming to keep their brand in your mind? Or do they actually want you to open the app and place an order?

Deepinder Goyal has asked a candidate to pay Rs 20 lakhs and work unpaid for one year as a criterion to be hired as his Chief of Staff. This is problematic on many levels. First, let’s address the basics. Is the opportunity to work with Deepinder Goyal worth Rs 20 lakhs? The simple answer is YES. But the same can be said about his VPs, Directors, and all the other people he directly works with. Does that mean he should ask all his direct reports to pay him money as well? There is undeniably significant learning involved in many prestigious opportunities, such as: - Working as the CEO of Google - Working as a VP at Zomato - Working as an engineer at Apple - Working as an intern at Meta The same can be said about 80-90% of companies. If you have two years of experience working for Amazon, you can command a good salary at your next job. Does that mean Amazon should ask you to work for free—or worse, pay them for the opportunity to work there? There are two possible explanations for Deepinder Goyal’s actions: - It’s a stunt designed to garner social media attention. - He’s like many other multi-billion-dollar founders, full of himself, and believes it’s justified to ask for Rs 20 lakhs in exchange for the privilege of spending time with him.

Would you pay ₹20 lakh to work for free? It sounds insane, right? But Deepinder Goyal, Zomato, CEO, has just made this offer—and it’s GENIUS. Here’s the deal: ↳ You pay ₹20 lakh. ↳ You work for Zomato for a year—for free. ↳ No resumes allowed. Sounds crazy? Let me explain why this is BRILLIANT. Many people spend ₹30 lakh on an MBA or ₹25 lakh on courses but gain zero real-world experience. With this opportunity, you’ll get: ↳ Direct access to a billionaire CEO. ↳ First-hand experience running an ₹8 billion company. ↳ A ₹50 lakh salary after one year, plus a ₹50 lakh donation to charity from Zomato. This isn’t a job. It’s a masterclass in leadership and business! While others study case studies, you’ll be in the room where billion-dollar decisions are made. Would you pay ₹20 lakh to learn from a billionaire CEO?
