📣 LAPP Wunsiedel Update 📣 It’s been a busy 11 weeks since the fire at our Wunsiedel plant. Thanks to our extensive global footprint, in the aftermath of the incident, existing orders were quickly redirected to other LAPP facilities, ensuring sustained production.   Meanwhile, our team has worked tirelessly to restore the Wunsiedel plant to operational capacity, and we are happy to announce that production has resumed and will continue to ramp up in the coming weeks.   Here’s a timeline of our progress:   Our systems are back up and running 💨 Gas supply - restored as of November 14. ✨ Glazing system - back in operation since November 15. 🔥 Kiln testing - successfully completed on November 16.   Production has resumed 📦 First batch of smaller long rods fired on November 18. 🏭 Extrusion of new pugs began in 2-shift operations starting November 18. 🔬 Our test field became operational again on November 20, allowing us to resume Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs). ➕ Additional kilns are being restored to ramp up production volumes.   Future-proofing focus 📐 Planning for a new layout is underway to optimise processes and ensure a future-proof setup. This journey has been far from easy, but every milestone brings us closer to our goal of returning to full operational capacity. We would like to thank our team, partners, and community for their support. Together, we are coming back stronger. 💪

At the end of September 2024, the employees of LAPP INSULATORS Turda held a fishing contest on a lake close to Turda. This type of activity organized by the Union, is popular among the participants and has a tradition in LAPP Turda Romania. This year, different from the previous years, the weather was lovely and everybody enjoyed a sunny sky and pleasant air temperature. The 2024 hurricane season hit early with #HurricaneBeryl, causing widespread damage and power outages. Despite severe challenges, including disrupted communication and transportation, our team quickly mobilized, using creative methods to restore operations and support recovery efforts. Their quick response ensured that essential storm recovery orders were delivered promptly, demonstrating the importance of preparation, teamwork, and strong partnerships in disaster situations.
