Today, our Kroger Health team spent the afternoon volunteering at The Freestore Foodbank helping create senior boxes and power packs for families across the Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky Tri-State region. Together we helped pack enough meals to feed more than 1600 seniors and children who are food insecure. As part of our commitment to #FoodasMedicine, Kroger Health is proud to introduce a new standard for nutrition transparency in collaboration with bitewell — home of the FoodHealth Score.    The innovative scoring system will be integrated into the OptUP Nutrition Program and give our customers a fast, reliable way to evaluate the healthfulness of their food, either in store, online or through the Kroger app.   “This improved resource will help us deliver better access and information to our customers, hopefully leading to improved health outcomes," said Laura N Brown, MS, RDN, LDN, head of nutrition for Kroger.
