Last week, we had the privilege of hosting the Leadership Florida Cornerstone Class of 2025 at the Jacksonville Regional Transportation Center (JRTC). Our CEO, Nat Ford—an alumnus of Leadership Florida Class XXIII—was joined by Greer Johnson Gillis (SVP/Chief Infrastructure and Development Officer) to share insights about the JTA’s vision for the future of mobility. As part of their visit, attendees explored the JTA’s Autonomous Innovation Center (AIC), a state-of-the-art control center and will be the mobility hub for the U2C Program. We hope this visit inspired these rising leaders to embrace bold thinking and collaboration to shape Florida’s future. The JTA’s Board Members are getting into the holiday spirit! 🎄✨ Following our December Board Meeting, they were greeted by our own JTA Santa, Operator Kendarius Fitzpatrick, and hopped aboard the Holiday Bus to experience the festive fun it brings to our community. Decked out in holiday decorations, the Holiday Bus is spreading joy to riders with FREE rides through January 2nd.   We’re proud to have our Board Members experiencing the season alongside our community, and we hope this special ride adds a little extra cheer to your day! #HolidayBus #Jax #HappyHolidays

Today, the Jacksonville Transportation Authority hosted the Autonomous Florida: Driving Innovation and Mobility workshop, in partnership with the Florida Chamber of Commerce, where attendees had the exclusive opportunity to explore Florida's roadmap for an autonomous future. With J. Alex Kelly, the Florida Secretary of Commerce, delivering the keynote, the event provided valuable insights into the state's innovative vision for the future of mobility. #Innovation #Mobility #Florida #AutonomousFuture

During a recent Community Pulse meeting, stakeholders from the Eastside community expressed interest in going on a listening tour to hear directly from residents about their mobility needs. Today, that idea came to life. JTA CEO, Nat Ford, and members of the Executive Leadership Team along with representatives from the Historic Eastside CDC and LIFT JAX, boarded one of our buses for a listening tour around the Eastside. The tour made stops along Florida Avenue, Phoenix Avenue, A. Philip Randolph Blvd, and The Corner at Debs Store. In addition to listening to residents along the route, the group also engaged in discussions about bus stops, shelters, and mobility needs. This collaboration is just one example of our commitment to listening, learning, and improving mobility in neighborhoods like Outeast. #CommunityWorks #Jacksonville
