We support this mission through a number of efforts including our WORKS program. Good Works is our philanthropy program that ensures we have an outsized impact on our surrounding communities through financial and volunteering efforts. Our Well Works program focuses on the mental, physical, and spiritual health of our employees through required minimum PTO, an annual wellness stipend, fully paid health care, fully paid counseling services, extended parental leave, and much more.     This is a post for all my marketing friends out there. Here are the stats and hot takes on results from the past few days: OVERALL NUMBERS - Black Friday set a record with $10b+ in sales - Total sales seem to be up about 3.4% YoY which is right in line with the higher end of the NRF projections. Once again Katherine Cullen was spot-on with her predictions from our Co-Op event in October. - Online sales seem to be the winner with Mastercard reporting a nearly 15% increase YoY while stores showed ~3% drop in traffic. - Cyber Monday numbers aren't in yet, but appear to be just as strong. INTERESTING NUMBERS - This year, Black Friday peaked at 2pm. The days of camping out for the best deals seem long gone... - TikTok eclipsed $100mm in sales (!!!) and 30,000+ shopping livestreams - Block reported online carts being nearly DOUBLE the size of in-store carts. - Buy Now Pay Later is continuing to grow with about an 8% increase YoY. Given inflation and economic concerns, this isn't surprising. - Chatbot-driven clicks to retail sites rose by a whopping 1,800% YoY. While I am sure the base is small for comparison...the bots are coming (Lisa Yamner Green and the team Daydream seem to be ahead of the curve here) DIGITAL MARKETING NUMBERS - Revenues for our clients averaged 8% over goal with many surpassing stretch goal. - CPMs dropped between 5% - 10% YoY. - CPCs fluctuated quite a bit, but generally up about 5% YoY. - CVR was above goals across almost our entire portfolio. - It was a close race between our beauty and retail clients to see which had the most successful holiday. It seems beauty edged out retail perhaps in part due to it being a lower ticket item. Consumers are more financially conscious this year. - We set records for single day revenue driven as a company and drove record single day revenues for multiple clients. Massive shoutout to my entire team January Digital who began prepping for holiday back in September. Record revenues, beat client goals, fluidly adapted budgets, creative, and strategy as results came in, kept clients informed, and even managed to have fun throughout. I may be partial, but we have hands-down the best team in the industry. #blackfriday #digitalmarketing #retail
