Supporting youth entrepreneurship in Ukraine: Turning dreams into reality 🌟 Helping young people start businesses is about more than just boosting the economy; it’s about fostering self-belief, creating opportunities for youth to stay and make a meaningful impact in their own communities. USAID-funded UNITY project, in partnership with the Khotyn Development Platform NGO, have launched the “Economic Opportunities for Youth Development” project, serving two communities in Western part of #Ukraine. This initiative is designed for young people interested in entrepreneurship but unsure where to begin. Our mission is to empower young people to turn ideas into real projects, transforming dreams into action. The project includes two key tracks: ✔️"Social School Entrepreneurship" Course for teens aged 14-17, providing entrepreneurial fundamentals and the chance to bring ideas to life with local budget support—up to USD 1,200 for social projects. ✔️"From Idea to Your Own Business" Course for young entrepreneurs, offering practical tools for business launch, mentoring support, and access to discounted resources, including startup space rentals. Additionally, the project features pitch sessions, meetings with experienced entrepreneurs, and site visits to local businesses. Over 100 students and 75 young entrepreneurs have already joined, taking their first steps in business. 💬“Implementing such projects in smaller communities is essential. They create new opportunities for economic growth and encourage youth to stay and thrive in their hometowns,” shares Economic Development Manager Kateryna Markevych. #YouthEmpowerment #Entrepreneurship #CommunityDevelopment #RecoveryOfUkraine #WorkforceDevelopment

Resilient Entrepreneurship: Transforming Challenges into Clean Water Innovations. Andrii Osadchyi always dreamed of making a meaningful contribution to society. His vision was clear: to provide people with access to clean drinking water. This dream led to the creation of The One Innovation Water Technologies LLC. 💧 Together with his team, Andrii developed the Freezing Process technology, capable of transforming even seawater into premium drinking water. In 2021, they launched production and began selling their product under the brand Melt Water Club in Kyiv, #Ukraine. It quickly gained popularity among cafes, restaurants, and fitness centers. However, the Russian full-scale invasion in 2022, brought everything to a halt. To rebuild Melt Water, Andrii joined our 18:35 Business Support Project under the USAID-funded UNITY Program. With the project's support, the company developed portable devices producing 24 liters of water daily and began prototyping an industrial machine capable of generating 200 liters daily. 💬 "For years, we struggled to move beyond bottled water production. Thanks to this program, we finally created our first water purification device prototype," shares Andrii. Today, Melt Water is thriving, with the ability to sell these devices increasing profits by 40%. Grant-writing consultations let the company secure two additional grants and showcase their innovations at exhibitions in Las Vegas and Hamburg. 🤝 Currently, the company collaborates with charitable foundations in Ukraine, implementing joint projects to supply drinking water, including to schools in the #Kyiv region. #Innovation #SocialImpact #CleanWater #Entrepreneurship #RecoveryOfUkraine
