Designed by !melk, it blends history, innovation, and sustainability. Featuring the incredible 26-foot Berliner Triitopia playground, and peripheral play components brought to life by SPEC Play, there is fun for all ages. This dynamic play space also offers a water zone, versatile sports fields, lush green spaces, picnic areas, and a sunset deck with breathtaking views. Pier 97 is the perfect spot for recreation, relaxation, along the Hudson River. The newly opened park features a 26-foot-high rope climbing structure, athletic field, sloping lawn, elevated walkway with seating, an all-ages slide, and a scenic promenade. Hudson River Park is excited to announce that we are hiring for an FAO Schwarz Fellow to join our River Project team from 2025-2027! The fellow will assist Hudson River Park’s River Project Department in improving awareness and stewardship of the Hudson River through science and education. - This is a full-time position for a two-year term from 2025-2027 with 37.5 hours per week. The position will begin in June 2025. - Applicants must be college seniors at accredited four-year colleges or universities at the time of application and be eligible to work in the United States for the duration of the two-year Fellowship. - Applications are due by February 1, 2025 9:30PM ET. We're excited to announce that Pier 57 has won the 2024 Masterworks Award for Best Adaptive Reuse by the The Municipal Art Society of New York (MAS) of New York! The team is celebrating the accomplishment today at the Pier along with the other MASterworks Award winners. Congratulations to our clients and partners, including Hudson River Park Trust, RXR, Youngwoo & Associates LLC, Google, !melk landscape architecture & urban design, AKRF, TYLin | Silman Structural Solutions, HIGGINS QUASEBARTH & PARTNERS LLC, and many more. Pier 57 transformed a 1950s maritime structure into a new mixed-use destination, including the largest rooftop park in New York City, office space for Google, and new flagship space for City Winery.
