A successful ground breaking ceremony was held today for the new Lynwood High School 160,000sf 3-story 72 Classroom STEAM/CTE Building and Outdoor Learning Plaza Replacement Project for the Lynwood Unified School District; PBK designed the project, Huckabee is managing construction, and Bernards is the builder, with an estimated completion date of mid-year 2027.

S&P Joins Uvalde CISD for a Beam Signing Ceremony On November 9th, 2024, the project team for Uvalde CISD's Legacy Elementary School celebrated a major milestone: the beam signing ceremony of the new campus. Team members from Satterfield & Pontikes Construction (S&P), Huckabee, AGCM Project Management, Uvalde CISD board members, the Uvalde CISD Moving Forward Foundation, and community members gathered to mark this achievement. “S&P has been amazing to work with,” said Tim Miller, the Executive Director of the Uvalde Moving Forward Foundation. “As you can see, we’re ahead of schedule. The topping-out usually happens when you’re putting up the structure without the skin. But as you can see, we’ve already put the sheathing on, and if everything keeps on track, we’ll be looking at drying in the building starting in December.” Once completed, Legacy Elementary will be able to accommodate 800 students in grades 2nd through 4th. The new school is being built next door to Dalton Elementary, a pre-K through 1st grade campus, which will allow both campuses to share access to Legacy’s common areas such as the playground, gym, and library. The new facility will serve as the replacement for Robb Elementary. “This beam represents so much to so many,” remarked Ashley Chohlis Uvalde CISD Superintendent. “Rightfully, it will forever bear the signatures of those who made Legacy Elementary a reality, and it symbolizes the great desire of a few dreamers to make the seemingly impossible possible.” Construction of the new 115,000 square-foot campus is on track and expected to meet its Fall 2025 completion date. #UvaldeCISD #SatPon Timothy Miller
