The City of Atlanta wants to break ground on another "rapid housing" development before the end of the month. This will be on city-owned property at the northwest corner of 17th Street and Northside Drive. The city plans to use modular units to provide 100 residences as part of a three-story structure. The city's Rapid Housing Initiative provides housing plus mental health (and other) services to people experiencing homelessness. https://lnkd.in/ehJSAAJ7

Congratulations to HouseATL member, Atlanta Housing, and its partners!
Atlanta Housing, in partnership with Invest Atlanta, the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, the City of Atlanta, and our development partners, celebrated the opening of Juanita H. Gardner Village, a community of 108 affordable housing units for seniors ages 55+ in the Adamsville neighborhood. Named after the prominent community leader and educator Juanita H. Gardner, this community symbolizes our collective commitment and care for our seniors. From modern amenities like a fitness center and business hub to its proximity to MARTA, the Juanita H. Garnder Village has been thoughtfully designed to enhance quality of life. This project is a testament to what’s possible when organizations unite to tackle Atlanta’s affordable housing challenges. We’re grateful to all our partners who contributed to this transformative project. Together, we’re creating innovative solutions to meet Atlanta’s affordable housing needs.
