Meet Michele from Allen Park 💕 Michele has been a brave and dedicated EMT, serving her community for many years. A few years ago, she survived a devastating fire that nearly took her life. Just as she was rebuilding, she was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. Despite these challenges, Michele’s bright spirit and unwavering faith remain an inspiration to everyone around her. Unable to work during her treatments, she faced the heartbreaking possibility of losing her home. That’s when Hot Pink Helpers stepped in. Thanks to the generosity of this incredible community, we were able to provide Michele with a grant to help ease her financial burden. Now, she can focus fully on her healing journey. Michele is determined to triumph over this battle and return to the work she loves so much. Her story reminds us all of the strength, courage, and hope that define true heroes. Congratulations to Melissa Morrow, owner of Sincerely Creative Mom and designer of “The Timeless Spirit of Christmas” tree, for winning Gardner White’s Twinkle Town 2024! With nearly 70,000 votes cast, Melissa’s stunning red, green, and gold tree stole hearts—and with it, a $10,000 donation to her charity partner, Hot Pink Helpers, which supports families affected by cancer. A huge thank you to all 20 Twinkle Town tree decorations and their local charity partners, each receiving a donation to continue their amazing work this holiday season. 🌸 Meet Porscha from Detroit 🌸 At just 37 years old, Porscha received the shocking diagnosis of breast cancer earlier this year. Despite her incredible strength, this diagnosis turned her and her partner’s world upside down. With one health setback after another, Porscha has been unable to work, leaving them struggling to stay afloat. Facing the devastating reality of eviction with minimal family support, they felt they had nowhere to turn. Five years ago, cancer tried to knock her down—but Michelle’s determination and devotion to her family wouldn’t let it win. Recently, life presented another challenge: Michelle has taken custody of her 2½-year-old great-granddaughter. While battling cancer, she is doing everything she can to raise this little girl on a fixed income.
