I’m incredibly honored to be recognized with the City & State NY Socially Responsible Alumni Award. This award is a reflection of the collective efforts of my amazing colleagues at HELP USA whose unwavering support and shared commitment to serving families in need continue to inspire me every day. I’m beyond grateful to be part of this mission-driven community. Hearing the powerful words of NAACP NY President, Dr. Hazel Dukes during the event was a humbling reminder of the work still ahead. It reinforced the importance of staying grounded in love, compassion, and the belief that everyone deserves dignity and opportunity. This recognition is a shared victory for all of us working to create lasting impact in our communities. Thank you to City & State NY for this incredible honor and to everyone who continues to show up for change. “Spread love — it’s the Brooklyn way.” ❤️

Today, we join Care For the Homeless and Urban Pathways in commemorating Homeless Persons' Memorial Day, a solemn occasion to honor the New Yorkers who passed away while experiencing homelessness in 2024. At HELP USA, we believe every life deserves dignity and remembrance. This memorial is more than a moment of reflection—it is a call to action. As our President & CEO Dan Lehman reminds us, we remain steadfast in our mission to end homelessness and support our neighbors in building safer, healthier lives. Together, let’s honor those we’ve lost and recommit to creating a future where everyone has a place to call home. read more here: https://lnkd.in/e5UePz8p #HomelessMemorialDay #EndHomelessness #HELPUSA

  • Ama's journey to a brighter future began when she arrived at HELP Bronx Morris, after fleeing the devastating civil war in Togo. As a single mother of an autistic son, just 5 years old at the time, Ama faced many challenges. She struggled to navigate the complexities of maintaining her public assistance benefits, while her son was non-verbal and had difficulty communicating. But with the steady support of the case management team at HELP, Ama's life began to transform. She learned how to manage her benefits effectively, and her son, once silent, blossomed in kindergarten, thriving with the guidance and care he received. Today, their household is settled in supportive housing, creating a safe and stable environment for them to grow and heal.. Your generosity makes experiences like Ama’s possible. By donating today, you help provide the resources that allow others to rebuild and create their own success stories. #GivingTuesday #GiveHope 🏡🧡 Donate today: https://bit.ly/3Bcsxhq
