Recently at one of our job sites, Haugland Group LLC's Eastern Utilities Services successfully completed a 1,500-foot horizontal directional drill (HDD), installing electrical duct bank conduits. This project required nearly three months of focused effort and teamwork to bore the 36-inch diameter hole through highly abrasive 45,000 psi rock. The team was led by Trenchless Director Randy Bunch, Project Manager Ryan Littlefield, Rig Superintendent Bryce Bunch, and Senior Rig Operator Lynn Wake. They all worked seamlessly, and despite the challenges of drilling through some of the hardest rock on earth, finished ahead of schedule while keeping everyone safe with the work being of the highest quality. "I'm a Marine Operations Supervisor for Haugland Group LLC's Haugland Marine Service. I oversee all day-to-day operations, moving our fleet of tug boats and barges. We provide support to ongoing jobs by moving any necessary materials and equipment through waterways. I've spent most of my life around water and boats and I absolutely love it. When I was deciding on my career path, I took inspiration from my uncle, following his steps, graduating from SUNY Maritime College.
