🌟 Thank you Walmart for going above and beyond to support local nonprofits this holiday season.🌟 December is one of the #busiest months for retailers. As such, Harmony CDC was especially grateful to be invited this week to their impressive 2M-square-foot fulfillment center in Lancaster, which is supported by 1,300 employees. Staff received a fun tour, a wonderful End-of-Year donation, and picked up items from their winter coat drive, benefiting our unhoused neighbors. We were so touched by their kindness and support! 💙 #EndofYearGiving #Lancaster #eCommerce #Walmart #DallasCounty #DallasNonprofits

At Harmony CDC, we believe in the power of #community. That’s why we were excited to host our 1st Annual Staff and Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon to recognize and celebrate the amazing efforts of our incredible team. Our People & Culture Committee handed out gifts, recognized leaders with awards, and secured a delicious holiday meal from KC’s Experience. The event featured the incredible #TheVoiceofDFW and festive tunes from DJ Kruez. Special thanks to our guest speakers —Pastor & Board Chair Bryan Carter and Dallas Councilmember Zarin Gracey. Thanks also to our Board Committee Member Dr. Brandon Hairston for sponsoring dessert. We’re so grateful for our community and hope everyone had a great time! #TisTheSeason #HolidayGiving #DallasNonprofit #SouthernDallas

A Helping Hand for a Grandmother This year, a grandmother in our community faced unimaginable challenges. After suffering a stroke, she could no longer work full-time. Soon after, she took emergency custody of her three grandchildren—including a teenager—adding to her overwhelming situation. In her time of need, Harmony CDC stepped in. - We provided rental assistance to ensure her family had a stable home. - We delivered essential food and toiletries to meet immediate needs. - We connected her with a nearby church that offered additional financial support. This is why Harmony exists: to provide stability, peace, and a helping hand when it’s needed most. You can make stories like this possible. Join us in creating stability for families in our community. Every gift makes a difference. 👉 HarmonyCDC.org/donate #CommunitySupport #NonprofitImpact #MakeADifference #GiveBack #HarmonyCDC

Harmony CDC is thankful to #AllyFinancial for their generous food donation to our pantry! This donation will have a lasting impact on those we serve. In 2023, we were able to assist 16,447 neighbors through our food distribution program, providing 392,040 pounds of food. Thanks to the support of #partners like Ally Financial, we continue to offer food distributions three times a week—on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays — eleven months out of the year. Together, we're making sure that no one in our community goes hungry. #CommunitySupport #AllyFinancial #FoodPantry #Gratitude #SouthernDallas #Dallas

Did you know? 🔎 Harmony CDC is a 2024 grant recipient of the The Dallas Morning News Charities. Their generous support is helping us assist neighbors enrolled in our Housing Program. The other day, we hosted Executive Director Camille Grimes for a fun holiday visit. These in-person moments are so meaningful, and we enjoyed the time spent together! 🎁 Also pictured is Dr. Brandon Hairston, one of our newest board committee members. He serves on our Marketing and Fund Development Committee and was on hand to help welcome our special guest. #CommunitySupport #DallasHousing #SouthernDallas #Dallas #DMNCharities #CardboardShouldNotBeAHome
