On behalf of Boardroom Beauty Collective, I had the absolute honor of sharing Glossier, Inc.'s red couch with their fabulous 2024 Grantees last week as they bravely gave all the details of their entrepreneurial journeys in reshaping the industry. If you're unfamiliar, Glossier launched their fourth Grant Program for Black-Owned Beauty Businesses, committing $300,000, this past summer. Five visionary US brands run by trailblazing founders were selected! Range Beauty, ROSE Ingleton MD, The Renatural, TONAL Cosmetics, and The Original Unbraider. Thinking about quitting your job to go all-in on your startup but don’t know where to start? Jordan Karim’s story might inspire you. In 2018, Jordan was a top 1% sales consultant at Allergan, thriving in a competitive and impactful role. But there was a challenge: as a halal-observing Muslim, she couldn’t use many of the products she was selling. After diving into research, Jordan identified a massive market gap for clean, effective skincare tailored to halal consumers, people with sensitive skin, and those with melanin-rich complexions. That insight became the foundation of Flora & Noor. Fast forward to today: Flora & Noor has been featured in Vogue and Allure, earned support from industry giants like Glossier, Inc. and Glow Recipe, and achieved nationwide distribution Ulta Beauty. Grateful to be named to Fast Company’s Brands That Matter list in recognition of our long-running partnership with the WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association): “Four years into its sponsorship of the WNBA, Glossier—the league’s first beauty sponsor—saw its early investment in the league pay off. In April, the brand was center court on draft day with No. 1 overall pick Caitlin Clark.” 

Honored to be recognized as #BestinBusiness, as an Icon & Innovator, by Inc. Magazine: "The company has increased sales, expanded internationally, entered Sephora, launched more than 25 new products, and undergone a culture change. [Glossier] is profitable, and in the past three years, the brand’s retail sales have increased 80 percent.” Amazing companies are built by amazing people - so proud of our team and excited by what's ahead for 2025 + beyond.

Holiday sets keep dropping, and I like what Glossier, Inc. did here because… 1. The packaging is 🔥. 2. The campaign filmed in the bathroom feels really personal, warm, and I love how it is shot. 3. They will be dropping new sets every Tuesday. So you know something is coming, but you don’t know what - very Christmassy. 4. They have brought new flavoured balms, Biscotti and Espresso - both very on trend. 5. Content and digital storytelling is beautiful. Earlier this month I was invited to speak at the Glossier, Inc. annual summit for an ITG: Top Shelf live with Ashley Weatherford - followed by touchups from my talented team! Back in June we did an amazing panel together at the SoHo flagship store to talk all things lip liner, so it was great to sit together again and gab about all things Mollie Gloss. Such a full circle moment: Glossier was not only the first brand to ever send me PR, but they were the first I got to collaborate and work with as well. It’s been incredible to be invited back again and again over the years and grow up together! So many cherished personal friendships have come from my work with Glossier, Inc. - there’s something special over there. Happy 10 years, Glossier! From Into the Gloss to the phase 1 launch to now, I’ve always been a fan. Thank you for inviting me to share my story, my inspirations, and of course - the products that keep me going!
