  • Last night, we hosted a group of senior engineering leaders at Oracle Park for a night full of great food, drinks, and exciting networking. We look forward to hosting more of these and are excited about some of our rapidly approaching upcoming events. 👇 The GitStart team will be on the ground at both ELC in #SanFrancisco and LeadDev in NYC and will host a few smaller, intimate events for folks in our network and clients. We've also got a few discounted passes remaining, so reach out if you'd like to join us on the ground and meet IRL! We'd be more than happy to host you. 🤝

  • ⚓️ Fort Mason’s piers have seen everything from naval ships to innovative startups. This is a true reminder that even the most rigid structures can become platforms for ingenuity—just as we aim to help engineering teams ship faster, better solutions. One of the most exciting events of the entire year took place around ELC. It was our first time exhibiting with the group, and we were surprised to see some other familiar faces we’d seen and met virtually attending too. We had a hypothesis going into the conference and decided to try something different. What would happen if we asked attendees what they think we do instead of hard selling and aggressive pitching? This was incredibly eye-opening. We began to see some nuance in our messaging and how it can be interpreted without added context. We took these findings home with us and began to think... How can we communicate what we do in a way in which it would be a no-brainer for relevant stakeholders? We ended with this: GitStart combines #AI and human engineers to deliver production-ready pull requests fast. It helps teams ship more with fewer resources. After the conference, we headed to Radhaus on the grounds of Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture for some excellent German cuisine and drinks. It’s rare to get a group of technical leaders of that caliber in one room, and overall, it was awesome to be there. GitStart is like the #Autobahn for software development—seamlessly combining speed, precision, and reliability to deliver production-ready code faster than ever. Will we see you next year? 👀 #startups #softwaredevelopment #YC #neo #ELC

  • At GitStart, we think about scale differently. We enable companies to scale their engineering output exponentially by combining the creativity of human engineers with the precision and speed of AI agents. The result? A continuous stream of production-ready pull requests that push the boundaries of what's possible for software teams. Whether you’re managing a massive codebase or trying to ship features faster, we help you scale your efforts without compromising on quality. Look, we understand that managing high-growth engineering teams can be challenging. 😨 “I believe that, at quickly growing companies, there are two managerial skills that have a disproportionate impact on your organization’s success: making technical migrations cheap and running clean reorganizations.”-Will Larson That leads us to our recap for today. One of the best reads we’ve gotten our hands on this year is An Elegant Puzzle by Will Larson. 🧩 In fact, we loved it SO much that we decided to gift it to many of our customers and prospects at many of the events we attended this year. Let us know if you’d like a copy. We’d be happy to send one over if you’d like to check it out yourself! 🎁 #softwaredevelopment #ai #engineeringleadership #GitStart #startups #YC

📌Over the next ten days, we will begin sharing moments that shaped GitStart this year—key wins, tough lessons, and ideas that pushed us forward. These are the things, big and small, that are quietly changing how engineering teams scale. As the year wraps up, we’re reflecting and laying the groundwork for what comes next. Kicking things off, we take a look back at Berlin. We traveled to Germany to attend one of our favorite conferences. LeadDev is one of the rare places where emerging VPs Eng / CTOs come together to learn. We attend many of their events and it's always a great time. We exhibited and had the opportunity to meet some incredible leaders whom we then invited to events of our own. When planning our booth, we made sure to bring in ex-CTOs from rapidly growing startups to chat about things like tech debt, QA, and engineering budgets — but even further, how to actually solve real pain points on the spot to build trust. (Kudos to CircleCI for sharing this desire and inviting their CTO to join in person at the conference too!) Thank you to everyone who came out— we enjoyed meeting you and hope to see you again sometime soon! #startups #yc #neo #softwaredevelopment

We led GitStart’s latest round because we believe in their potential to reshape how development teams work. Originally developed by CEO Hamza Z. to tackle challenges he faced as an engineer, GitStart quickly gained the attention of his then-boss, Fred Stevens-Smith, who became one of the company’s first investors. By combining AI with human expertise, GitStart transforms routine tickets into ready-to-merge pull requests, freeing dev teams to focus on high-impact projects. ✨ Why we’re excited about GitStart: 🔹 Solving a Core Issue: GitStart removes critical bottlenecks by automating repetitive work, letting teams focus on high-value tasks. Teams can now buy outcomes, not just interfaces, reshaping software delivery. 🔹 A Strategic Market Fit: With demand for efficient dev solutions rising, GitStart is perfectly positioned to set a new standard in agile, productive development. 🔹 From Engineer to Founder: Hamza Zia, a former engineer at Rainforest QA, first built this solution to streamline his own work. Recognizing its potential, Rainforest CEO Fred Stevens-Smith became one of GitStart’s earliest backers, encouraging Hamza to turn it into a full-fledged company. Today, Hamza’s deep expertise fuels GitStart’s commitment to practical, results-driven automation. 🔹 Real Results for Clients: GitStart’s customers already see significant savings and faster results. One CEO noted, “every ticket GitStart handles costs one-sixth of what it does in-house—and it’s done faster.” Beyond saving costs, GitStart lets companies optimize their teams for higher productivity. GitStart has shipped over a billion lines of code to production by managing LLMs and Distributed Engineers, with an average of less than 1.7 code review cycles. We are now really excited to share that we have raised additional funding, led by Bonfire Ventures 🔥, who were joined by new angels like Hadi Partovi (CEO @ Code.org), Jack Krawczyk, Karthik Ramakrishnan, along with our existing backers including Neo, Future Africa and YC. • Pull requests x pretzels anyone? After wrapping up at ELC, we hosted an awesome group of engineering leaders at RadHaus for a German-themed dinner. We got to connect and mingle with some of the brilliant minds who are changing the way we think about software development. A special thanks to everyone who attended the event. It's always a pleasure to spend a bit of time face-to-face around novel ideas. Until next year. 🚀

Writer | CEO @ ARDC Israel | Development Practitioner

Asylum seekers and refugees trained as software developers continue to struggle to find opportunities to break into the job market and advance their careers, despite their skills and qualifications. To create equal opportunities for asylum seekers and refugees living in Israel, we must address the barriers they face, such as language difficulties, unrecognized foreign credentials, limited professional networks, and hiring biases. At the African Refugee Development Center (ARDC), we are actively working to overcome these challenges and support refugees in securing meaningful employment in the tech industry. To further our mission of advancing economic mobility and inclusion for refugees, I am excited to announce our new partnership with GitStart. Together, we’ve launched Coding4Hope, a new social impact program designed to empower refugees in Israel by providing them with the skills, experience, and opportunities needed to succeed in the tech industry. Through Coding4Hope, GitStart integrates refugee developers who graduated from ARDC programs into dedicated teams, where they work on real-world projects for local tech companies, ensuring continuous learning and delivering high-quality results that meet industry standards. By doing so, we not only support their personal growth but also enrich our local tech ecosystem with highly motivated and skilled developers. Let's collaborate to create meaningful opportunities for refugee developers and strengthen the tech community in Israel. Message me to learn more about #Coding4Hope and how you can be part of this impactful initiative.
