Becoming an SDR is no longer the same role as it was. First, I'd want you to evaluate why you want to become one. It's no longer the role where you'd make 50 calls, send 100 emails, and go home. Today, being an SDR means: 🔹 Adapting to AI-driven workflows that are changing the game. 🔹 Building relationships, not just leads. 🔹 Mastering tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Outreach, and ChatGPT is an plus. If you’re serious about stepping into the world of sales development, here’s my advice: 1️⃣ Learn the craft: Read blogs, take free online courses, or join School of SDR 2️⃣ Show you're ready: Instead of just applying, reach out to hiring managers with a tailored video message or show off how you'd tackle an SDR challenge. You are fighting for a position against 500 sales professionals. Answer why they should give you a shot. 3️⃣ Get coached: Seek mentors, or even better, platforms where you can practice and refine your skills without judgment. Again School of SDR could help. Pro and Secret Tip: Only 1% of SDRs are doing this. Practice cold calls using Blue, download the call and send it to your manager. The truth is, landing an SDR job is tough, but thriving as one requires a mindset shift. Blue is changing to something bigger than I could imagine.
