The Mission of the Georgia Airports Association (GAA) is “to provide, develop and expand a safe and efficient airports system, to meet the future economic growth of Georgia, through the full implementation of the State Aviation System Plan (SASP).” The SASP recognizes that airports are an indispensable component of the state’s total transportation system that strongly supports the state’s economy.

  • 2024 GAA Claudia Holliway Memorial The application period is now open for the 2024 Georgia Airports Association, Claudia Holliway Memorial Scholarship. This years award will be (4) $1,000 scholarships (each recipient will only be eligible for one scholarship). The scholarship is designed to assist a dependent/employee of a current Georgia Airports Association (GAA) member OR active GAA student member. The scholarship is available for those attending or accepted at an accredited school in Georgia in any major and is also available for an aviation related major at an out-of-state institution. The application must be submitted by August 31, 2024 at 5:00 pm to be considered, and the successful applicant will be announced at the GAA Annual Conference during the awards announcements on October 18, 2024.   https://lnkd.in/eNKgp9Us

  • The Georgia Airport Association Legislative Team organized and participated in the 2nd Legislative flight for our great state on Wednesday, May 15th. Legislators, GAA Legislative Committee members, and our representatives from Denton's were able to travel to 9 of our state's airports. The event was held to Thank our Legislative members for recent funds provided to our airports and to provide them the ability to travel and see our airports, staff, and local leaders. Routes Route #1 *Covington Municipal Airport (CVC) *Barrow County Airport (WDR) *Pickens County Airport (JZP) Route #2 *Perry -Houston County Airport (PXE) *Harris County Atlanta Regional Airport Pine Mountain (PIM) *Henry Tift Myers Airport (TMA) Route #3 *Burke County Airport (BXG) *Vidalia Regional Airport (VDI) *Waycross -Ware County Airport (AYS) Another great day for Georgia Aviation and our Association.   • GAA Board of Directors meet over the last two days in Macon, Ga Macon, Middle Georgia Regional Airport, and Robins Air Force Base - Museum of Aviation were amazing hosts.
