Last week, Gary and GM Kevin Schechterle, attended the 14th Annual Service Above Self Awards Luncheon at the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame with Jay, Michelle and Shalinder (all from Hyundai Motor America). Allan Houston was named the 2024 National Honoree and John Sjoberg & Brenda Garton-Sjoberg were named the 2024 Local Honorees. All three recipients are the perfect example of going above and beyond for the community.

It was a very fulfilling experience!

It was a great morning for the last Gary Rome Auto Group Surprise Squad of 2024! The Gary Rome crew along with Western Mass News Cool Schools, recognized Plains Elementary's very own Kindergarten Paraprofessional, Christine Glenn! The love the students have for her is truly unmatched. One of her specialties is the famous "Hulk" fist pump she gives her students to welcome them. A check was made out to Glenn and the school in the amount of $1,000 ($500 each) and she was also presented a car wash tote of goodies from Gary. Our Annual Gary Rome Auto Group Employee Appreciation Party took place this past Saturday night at the Castle of Knights in Chicopee. Employees from both dealerships along with their guests enjoyed a night of delicious food, raffle prizes, photo booth, music, dancing and the Newlywed Game. A few special recognitions were announced during the evening. Our department managers were acknowledged for their truly exceptional leadership throughout the year. Amanda Carson, our Service Technician, was named the first female to complete Master Technician Training at a Hyundai in the region. Rich Circe, our Office Manager, was named Employee of the Year for Kia and Josue "Macho" Rivera, our Parts Manager, was named Employee of the Year for Hyundai. Congratulations to you all! It was a fun night had by all!
