The Taste-ICCA Culinary Challenge Masterclass 2024: Setting New Standards in Culinary Competitions A Competition Like No Other... Where products are put to the Real Test... Culinary Talent, Techniques and Taste Take Centre Stage! In the world of culinary competitions, the Taste-ICCA Culinary Challenge 2024 stands apart, as quality, credibility, creativity, innovation, and learning are the focus. Unlike conventional run-of-the-mill competitions for food enthusiasts, the Taste-ICCA Culinary Challenge went beyond; it was an experience for serious food enthusiasts to learn more from the experts to push their skills to the next level. This year, 40 outstanding semi-finalists were chosen from hundreds of entries submitted on Foodverseio. The first level of the competition, which started with a Masterclass with ICCA Chef Instructors, was a spectacular showcase and demonstration of culinary knowledge, skills, expertise and presentation techniques. Brand representatives opened each session with in-depth product insights and focused on versatile uses so that the competitors could fully appreciate and apply each ingredient to the fullest and best of their ability. Attendees called it an “experience beyond imagination” as they absorbed new information and expert knowledge like never before. Mastering the Art Best Plated Meal Masterclass: ICCA Cookery Chefs Francisco Araya, Sergio Freitas, and Michelle Tredoux showcased plating techniques, flavour pairings, and ingredient mastery during the masterclass. The star ingredients—U.S. Beef, Potatoes USA, Elle & Vire Professionnel dairy products, American Garden condiments, California Walnuts—took centre stage, and the innovative applications of these premium ingredients inspired participants. Best-Themed Cake Masterclass: ICCA Baking & Patisserie Chefs Leonardo Luza Lillo, Shamal More, and Master Sugar Crafter Nasarene Jeddy Dhanki guided participants through the intricacies of themed cake creation. Ingredients like Al Baker flour, Elle & Vire’s luscious dairy products, and American Garden peanut butter were the hero products, and the participants learned a unique blend of taste, texture, and creativity. The Taste-ICCA Culinary Challenge 2024 was a celebration of talent, passion, and learning. Participants didn’t just compete—they learned, grew, and pushed their limits.
