Our work ranges from modern multi-family housing, high-end brownstone renovations, restaurants, work on college campuses, and exciting retail spaces. Our joint venture, composed of KZ Builders, Caste Capital, SV+Partners, is proud to propose an innovative response to the City of Boston’s RFP for Cummins and Regis Road. This forward-thinking project is designed by Embarc and will be constructed by Janey Construction, both local MBE firms with strong ties to the community. The approach embodies a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring the project exceeds the city’s highest benchmarks for community development and leading to a design that not only enhances the neighborhood but blends harmoniously with the surrounding community. This 100% affordable condominium project will provide 30 homes, including 21 family-sized units. All homes will be available to those earning between 80-100% of AMI, addressing the city’s housing needs while integrating Passive House design standards and serene greenspaces for relaxation in the urban setting. There will be two community-focused retail opportunities. To offset traditional HOA fees, the larger space will be managed by unit owners, generating revenue for the building and providing an opportunity to help shape their community. The second will focus on promoting health and wellness through a local community business. At the core of this project is a deep sense of community. We are excited to relay that construction has commenced for our latest project in the South End: a 6-story infill, mixed-use building located at 1395 Washington Street! Given the gentle curve of Washington Street, we implemented the use of a faceted facade with rich brick detailing (akin to what’s found in this beautiful neighborhood), which in turn allows us to connect to existing buildings both left and right of this site. The ground level will feature demisable retail spaces that are thoughtfully designed to enhance the pedestrian experience while also providing an expansion of the public realm. Future residents of 1395 Washington will enjoy living in units featuring meticulously selected materials and finishes throughout.
