Did you know that the outdoor recreation industry accounted for 2.3 percent of GDP last year? That's $639.5 billion, with RVing being the second largest activity after boating/fishing. One thing that isn't accounted for in the new Bureau of Economic Analysis data is the environmental impact of these activities. Here at Electric Outdoors, we take a sustainability-forward approach to outdoor recreation, creating experiences with the planet in mind and actively working to reduce CO2 emissions at campsites and beyond. And we're betting big that this will positively impact both our bottom line and the industry as a whole. We would love to hear your thoughts on sustainability in the outdoors — do you take it into consideration when planning or choosing activities? Drop us a comment below or send us a DM. https://lnkd.in/gcUXm3Ct

If you haven’t stayed at an EO Canopy yet, here’s an idea of what it’s like. Bring your EV, RV, van, overlanding rig, e-bike, motorcycle—or just yourself and a sleeping bag. We had such a great time at Electrify Expo in Austin this past weekend. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat! What a privilege it is to get to have so many interesting, thought-provoking, and inspiring conversations all in one place. One of our (many) favorite moments from the weekend was with a couple who brought their young child in a stroller. After talking about what we're building with Electric Outdoors and the EO Canopy, the woman turned to her child and said, "You'll be camping in one of these Canopies when you're older. They're the future." We couldn't agree more 😉

I'm hanging out in Austin this weekend at the Electrify Expo @ Circuit of The Americas with Josef Hjelmaker and Electric Outdoors. Stop by and say hi in the Outdoor Recreation area (on your way to test drive an electric Porsche or Lucid on the racetrack 👀)

Thank you John D. Tran, PhD for sharing our mission and being a part of creating the future of sustainable camping 🌿
We’re enhancing off-the-grid exploration. Announcing our investment and partnership with Electric Outdoors, a company enabling renewable energy in any remote location—whether you’re camping or conducting field research. Booking a stay is as easy as an Airbnb. At arrival, their solar-powered canopy is deployed and operational, allowing you to charge your electric vehicle as soon as you pull in. Their solution expands energy access for people to explore new frontiers, especially as electric vehicles continue to capture a larger share of the automotive market. A thoughtfully designed suite of user features includes adaptable living spaces, SpaceX's Starlink, potable water, battery storage, and an advanced solar tracking PV system for rapid EV charging. Electric Outdoors is building the modular home and energy platform that serves as a drop-in asset for adventurers and researchers. This platform can be deployed anywhere, anytime, and as we expand, it will enhance accessibility across the United States, creating an off-the-grid energy infrastructure that everyone can tap into. I’m excited to join alongside Josef Hjelmaker and his team, along with our partners at Centrepolis Accelerator @ Lawrence Technological University, Ann Arbor SPARK, ID Ventures, Veolectra Inc, Michigan Outdoor Innovation Fund, Tahqua Point Capital, OFME at the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Plug and Play Tech Center, Our Next Energy (ONE), and many more. Together we’re equipping adventurers and innovators with #CleanTech solutions that enable them to explore further and stay longer in the great outdoors. If you’re developing a hardware or software layer that complements this platform stack, let’s connect to #ExploreMore. #Decarbonization

Off-grid electric boat charging coming soon to a dock near you 👀 This partnership between Electric Outdoors and Voltaic Marine has the potential to make waves, and we're very excited to be building on our mission of making outdoor recreation more accessible, sustainable, and electrified—whether on land or water.
Yesterday we announced a partnership with Electric Outdoors at The Mobility Conference in Newlab. Together our companies are bringing fully off-grid renewable energy generation, storage and charging to the marine industry. Our boats can be used in any location without being dependent on grid charging!
