#Truth or #myth? 🤔 Maintaining menstrual hygiene while on your period is important to your overall health. . . . TRUTH! Okay, so we know this one's kind of a gimme, but that doesn't make it any less important! At Egal, we believe that every menstruator should have access to the period products they need when ⌚ and where 📍they need them. According to The State of the Period, about half of #menstruators wear their period products for longer than recommended due to lack of access or inability to afford them. Some may even resort to using toilet paper, socks, rags, and other unsafe items to manage their period when they don't have what they need. Without the proper resources, other physical health risks like irritation and infection can arise. A huge win at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly)! The Cal Poly Associated Students, Inc has implemented Egal Pads on a Roll in their University Union all-gender restrooms. ⚥ Special thanks to CP's Mustang News for the write-up on this exciting step toward menstrual equity across the campus! 🏫 Menstrual products are essential resources that should be available in every restroom stall so ALL #menstruators (regardless of gender identity) have access whenever and wherever they're needed. As CP student Olivia Hanna said to Mustang News: "Having the pads in gender-neutral bathrooms creates awareness and more acceptance as it makes it seem more normal to be on your period regardless of your gender."
