More about Education Credit Union Every day, more and more consumers are understanding that credit union members receive the greatest attention and the best financial care. As a credit union, ECU is a not-for-profit financial institution. This means that the money ECU earns goes right back into the credit union, giving ECU the ability to provide members with great dividends, competitive rates, outstanding financial products and cutting-edge technology. No group of stockholders is benefiting from the success of ECU; only its members are! ECU members aren’t just a bunch of customer numbers. ECU members are part owners, giving them the right to vote in the annual election of the ECU volunteer board of directors. ECU is proud to volunteer for and support many of the wonderful organizations to which our members belong. We travel out into the community, furthering financial literacy. Each year, we award four scholarships to members who are graduating from high school, and we have donated more than $300,000 in Pocket Change grants to local teachers to fund projects in their classrooms. • Say hello to Teresa, one of ECU’s new AmTech teller interns!👋 Teresa says she chose to intern with ECU because she wanted to gain practical experience in financial service, develop important skills, and get a deeper understanding of the industry. She says her favorite part about working at ECU is the community-focused, collaborative, and supportive environment. Teresa is a student at Palo Duro High School. She is involved with National Technical Honor Society, where she helps competitions run smoothly by organizing equipment and other items depending on the activity. She also competes in DECA events like Apparel and Accessories Marketing and Personal Financial Literacy. Recently, she received the “Rising Star” award for her work in DECA events. In her free time, Teresa likes to read, make crafts, and binge-watch movies. Teresa also volunteers, and helped out at the Heroes & Legends: Chipping Away at Child Abuse fundraiser.
