About us
EASI ZERo develops and validates an easy-to-install global building envelope system for efficient energy renovation with a near zero energy balance and CO2 emission. Materials are based on bio-sourced and recyced materials to minimize the carbon-footprint. Material sources are wood, used wood pieces, grown mycelium or recycled construction waste. This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme under grant agreement No. 101091531. The proiect runs from December 2022 and ends May 2026. They are tasked with creating filled wall bricks that integrate advanced #insulating materials, such as #waterglass foam, developed within the project, striving to enhance #thermal #properties and reduce thermal #conductivity. 🔨 #MeetTheEASIZERoPartners: Sievert SE, a stalwart in the building materials sector, is bringing its expertise to the EASI ZERo project with a focus on creating more sustainable and energy-efficient solutions for energy renovation of buildings. 🏡 In the project, Sievert is tasked with the role of developing advanced insulating render systems incorporating waterglass foam to significantly lower thermal conductivity, thereby enhancing the energy efficiency of the building envelope. ♻️ Embracing the principles of the circular economy, SIEVERT is not only improving the performance of their renders but also explores the use of biobased and recycled additives into the renders to reduce the environmental impact further. #MeetTheEASIZERoPartners: Bollerup-Jensen, a pioneering Danish company in the liquid silicates products sector, is bringing its almost 90 years of experience to the EASI ZERo initiative as we develop low-carbon solutions for energy-efficient building renovation. ☁ In the EASI ZERo project, Bollerup Jensen is tasked with optimizing waterglass foam to achieve superior thermal performance, making it suitable for enhancing building energy efficiency. The optimized waterglass foam will be integrated into various construction components and assemblies within the EASI ZERo project, such as insulating renders and filled bricks. 🌱 #MeetTheEASIZERoPartners: Introducing Leitat Technological Center, a leading technology center in Spain, who is leveraging its multidisciplinary expertise in materials development to drive sustainable innovation in the construction sector. 🧪 In the EASI ZERo project, LEITAT is leading the definition of circularity requirements for product eco-design as well as the sustainability and circularity assessments of the project’s use-case buildings. 🔍 LEITAT's experts are also providing comprehensive life cycle assessments at the product level to evaluate the environmental and social impacts as well as a cost analysis of the EASI ZERo products portfolio. This is done in close collaboration with CEA-Liten, University of Stuttgart, Elithis Groupe and INDRESMAT®. Further, LEITAT contributes to increase the bio-based content of the bio-based polyurethane window frames replacing currently solvent-based paint by a water and bio-based PUR paint and also a zero-VOC decorative paints with recycled polymer resins in close collaboration with INDRESMAT and PINTURES M VICH SA.
