About us
The Division of Aquatic Resources (DAR) is Hawai‘i's marine management state agency under the Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR). DAR manages the state’s aquatic resources and ecosystems through programs in ecosystem management, place-based management, and fisheries management. The mission of the Division of Aquatic Resources is to work with the people of Hawai‘i to manage, conserve and restore the state’s unique aquatic resources and ecosystems for present and future generations.
