On Wednesday, our Bridge Builder Edward Obi Chartered FCIPD, MIRP, TechIOSH & Adebayo Winsala had the privilege of attending a momentous event hosted by The Trades Widows Fund Charity at the Trinity Hall - The Seven Incorporated Trades of Aberdeen. The occasion marked a significant milestone for the charity: more than £1 million donated to local groups and charities. 🌟 As a relatively new charity, Diversity Bridge (SCIO) was honoured to be part of this milestone. Since our registration in April 2024, one of our first major grants was from the Trades Widows’ Fund, which allowed us to provide support to 50 people in need. This generous grant laid the foundation for the work we do today, helping to uplift our community and create lasting impact. 💙 The event was a testament to the power of collaboration. With over 100 attendees from 83 groups and third sector organisations, it was inspiring to see so many organizations come together, each contributing their unique efforts to better our city and its residents. The Trades Widows’ Fund, established in 2015, continues to be a beacon of hope, providing vital support where it's most needed. We are immensely grateful for the partnership and support we’ve received from the Trades Widows’ Fund Charity. Their commitment to giving back to the local community has empowered us to build bridges across diverse groups, making Aberdeen a stronger, more inclusive place for everyone. Thank you, The Trades Widows Fund Charity Fund, for making our journey possible. Here's to many more years of collaboration and impact. “Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much.” – Helen Keller #DiversityBridgeSCIO #TradesWidowsFund #CommunityImpact #CharitySupport #BuildingBridges #AberdeenCharities #CollaborationForChange #InclusionMatters #MakingADifference #Gratitude Seonaidh Baker Jaipal Reddy Aenugu CISSP Namrita Don Tiffeny Rothwell Emma Leiper Finlayson David Birnie Phionna McInnes She/Her (d/deaf) ACVO TSI.
