This year saw another significant occasion for the RWG apprentice training programme. The 2024 graduating group were joined by the group from 2020, who, because of various restrictions, could not mark the occasion meaningfully at the time. A celebratory lunch for both groups was attended by Chris McPherson, Operations Director, Lynn Bisset, HR Director and Kenny McKenzie, Business Director. Also in attendance were the respective operations managers, supervisors and the training team.
At the start of the apprentice year, RWG host an open evening where families can meet the highly experienced training team as well as management representatives. This year, Mark Forsyth, Managing Director, along with directors and managers from across RWG, welcomed the families of our first year apprentices.
RWG is very proud of our history of developing apprentices and our exceptional retention rate. Having now trained 220 in a variety of engineering disciplines across the years, we are delighted to celebrate the successes of our apprentices as they develop through their programme and their career with RWG.
Hopefully, some of RWG’s ex-apprentices will read this post and reflect on their RWG apprentice journey. If you were an apprentice, please leave a comment below and share your experience with us. We would love to hear from you.
