  • Launching OVERJET's new site. We've streamlined our approach, incorporating hundreds of small optimizations into our starter kit. These improvements, born from experience, allow us to: - Accelerate development cycles - Enhance site performance - Improve user experience consistently A lot of this has to do with picking the right partners, Vercel, GSAP, Nextjs App Router, and our own tools developed in-house. it’s one of those days that only happens a few times in a career… today we launch the new face of Overjet. despite being an AI skeptic… I joined last year because: after meeting Wardah Inam, it became clear to me that there are only 2 types of dental care professionals: 1) current Overjet users 2) future Overjet users this technology is proven, by rigorous scientific studies and practical application by thousands of dentists, to improve patient care… anyone that’s ever been to the dentist… and I’m assuming that’s everyone that follows me… knows the experience of uncertainty around how to interpret their oral health… leading to over 50% of dentist recommended treatments being declined. many even have the experience of going to several doctors only to get several different recommended treatment plans. Overjet solves thst problem… ensuring patients understand their oral health and get the treatment they need. but it doesn’t stop there… we’re connecting payers and providers through an objective standard… so patients and providers know upfront how their claims will be evaluated… and payers can quickly and efficiently approve claims. despite all of this impact… the truth is, we haven’t done enough to tell this story, celebrate our customers, and inspire our audience. that’s the challenge I joined to solve. today’s brand update is a tribute: - to the amazing work that our teams have been doing for years - to the innovative and inspirational customers that have partnered with us - to the beauty that is inherent to dentistry, but rarely appreciated by the broader market thank you to everyone that made this possible: Patrick Torres, Aaron Marks, Clayton Fuller, Jordan Hetzer, franco arza, Andie Wexler, and the entire team at Studio Freight. Logan Goldberg, Oscar Flores, Abby Blake, and Kaylie Smart from my amazing team. Christopher Balaban MSc DMD FACD, Teresa Dolan, Mina Ghorbanifarajzadeh, and Gordon Barfield DDS, who all lended their clinical expertise to making the most beautiful representation of dentistry on the web. and every customer, partner, investor, and teammate that’s been part of this journey, that’s only getting started. THIS IS DENTAL AI THIS IS OVERJET overjet.com

  • darkroom.engineering, a new standalone studio, has been officially launched after emerging from within Studio Freight. This strategic decision has been made to allow both entities to focus on their respective areas of expertise and pursue new opportunities for growth and innovation. Over the past few years, the team at darkroom.engineering has played a significant role in contributing to Studio Freight’s reputation for technical excellence. The team has consistently delivered high-quality work for clients and made notable contributions to the open-source community, such as the widely-adopted Lenis smooth scroll library. As a standalone entity, darkroom.engineering aims to verticalize its offerings, reduce operational constraints, and create flexibility for deeper expertise focus. The studio will provide specialized development services to clients seeking innovative technical partnerships and explore new ways to make open-source development a profitable and sustainable endeavor.  This will involve focusing on building projects in the open and collaborating with the development community. While darkroom.engineering is now a separate entity, it will maintain a close, collaborative partnership with Studio Freight to continue delivering exceptional experiences for clients and partners. This strategic move is expected to foster growth, innovation, and increased opportunities for both studios and their respective teams and collaborators. The name “darkroom” was chosen because it is where the development happens. Further details about Darkroom Engineering’s services, projects, and initiatives will be shared in the near future.Inquiries or requests for information can be directed to hi@darkroom.engineering.
