I had the opportunity to take Michelle Lokot's Decolonising M&E course offered by Cynara Gender Training Platform and it has strengthened my practice as a development sector professional in ways I'm continuing to discover months later! It will push you to think critically and radically about your research assumptions, methodologies and design. Grounded in real-world case studies, brilliantly facilitated by Michelle, this course is a much-needed skill-up for folks looking to upgrade your social impact research and assessment praxis. #deconolizedevelopment #internationaldevelopment
💥 Join Michelle Lokot in November for this fantastic virtual course - new to the Fabulous Feminists training portfolio! 💡 Decolonising Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) and Research is for anyone who works in the Development or Humanitarian sector, is involved in M&E, learning and research activities, and is looking to come away with some practical strategies to decolonise their work. The course objectives aim to: ➡ Identify how colonial ways of thinking continue to influence M&E and research practices in the Development and Humanitarian sectors. ➡Explore how feminist principles offer helpful ways of thinking about how to identify and reduce the impact of intersecting power hierarchies. ➡Critically reflect on power and identify practical strategies that can help to unravel colonial ways of thinking across the project/research cycle: from the scoping/design stage, to data collection, analysis and dissemination. The course timings are: Date: 12-15 November 2024 Time: 12h00-13h30 and 14h30-16h00 GMT 🖊 Sign up here: https://lnkd.in/ePVJQ7Yh See you there! #Decolonisation #Feminists #VirtualCourse Lucy Ferguson
