During the renovation and new construction at our Eckerle Center in Dayton this year, we were blessed to have the opportunity to add a universal changing table as part of our push to increase the accessibility of our facilities. This is in addition to creating a new, fully-accessible main entrance and adding an elevator that makes it possible for staff and other building visitors to get to all levels of our building, including our food pantry and our new community room. #Accessibility #UniversalChangingTable #AmericansWithDisabilities #ServiceForAll https://lnkd.in/gv2Xh6RZ

We're so grateful for community partners including The Foodbank, Inc. who give us the means to help many thousands of our neighbors each year! In addition to helping supplement the food budgets of our pantry visitors, we also get to provide them with connections and referrals to other resources to help them improve their situations. Would you or your group be interested in volunteering at our pantry? We operate Monday through Friday mornings and we're always looking for folks to help out – whether for just one day, once a week, or once a month. Give our volunteer coordinator a call at 937.223.7217 ext.1130 to learn more! #FoodInsecurity #Underemployment #Nutrition #NoChildHungry #Volunteering
Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley proves that helping others is soup-erb! Over Fiscal Year 2024, they received $2,043,068 worth of goods from The Foodbank, Inc., at no cost. With these goods, they delivered a compassionate response to hunger, ensuring that no one had to face the challenges of food insecurity alone! CSS is truly transforming the landscape of food insecurity into one of hope, laying the foundation for A Picture of Possibility for all. #NourishToFlourish #HopeOnTheHorizon #PosingWithPurpose

Sometimes our projects are BIG, like the recent construction and renovation at our Eckerle Center, but smaller projects can also make a big impact in the day-to-day lives of our clients, staff, and other visitors.
As we continue to add final touches to our renovated, expanded Eckerle Center, the Dayton and Montgomery County Maternal and Infant Vitality Task Force inspired us to do more for the breastfeeding women we serve, their babies, our staff, volunteers and visitors at both our locations in Dayton. A huge thank you to Mary Reid and Joe Craig for making our dream a reality by creating this welcoming, private room for mothers at the Center for Families location! Your kindness and energy elevate our commitment to women, children and inclusive spaces! 🩷
