We believe that good citizens are good news to their communities. We also believe good companies are good citizens. We were therefore filled with gratitude, honor, and not a small amount of awe to share the stage last month with hero-brands of ours like Microsoft , Samsung Electronics, and Southwest Airlines at the 25th Annual U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation CITIZENS AWARDS in Washington D.C.—who chose to recognize our #GetComfortable initiative as the Best Community Improvement Program of the year! We also acknowledge that we did not achieve any of this by ourselves. Dozens of stakeholders have shaped this early literacy intervention. Books for Keeps has brought it to life inside Clarke County Schools. Many local businesses are co-funding its expansion, and many more literacy mentors are actually in the classrooms each week doing the work. So we are hoisting the trophy today alongside each of the following co-laborers, community pillars in their own right: Athens-Clarke County Unified Government Athens Area Community Foundation Athens Wellbeing Project Books for Keeps Clarke County School District Envision Athens Georgia Power Company GEORGIA SKIN CANCER & AESTHETIC DERMATOLOGY GIVE BACK Real Estate GREATER ATHENS Golden Pantry Food Stores Heyward Allen Motor Company Hotel Indigo @OsteriaOlioAthens Thornton Brothers The University of Georgia Athletics United Way of Northeast Georgia

We’re excited to announce that our Co-Founder Adam Beauchamp will be stepping into the role of CEO. Adam started Creature as a seasoned production brewer and a student of genetics and ecology from the University of Georgia. Along with sitting on Creature’s Board of Directors since day one, he spent the company’s first eight years leading its production and quality teams. In 2021, he was named Chief Operating Office and currently serves as the co-chair of the Brewers Association's sustainability subcommittee. Chris Herron is stepping down from the role of CEO but will continue to provide support through an advisory role to ensure a smooth transition during this change. Under Adam’s leadership, we will continue to innovate and expand while remaining true to our core values and purpose to foster human connection.

This year's Get Comfortable recipe was developed in collaboration with UGA College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences faculty member, Dr. Mohamed Mergoum, the Georgia Seed Development UGAF Professor in Wheat Breeding & Genetics. His research helped create a more sustainable wheat variety, better suited to the South for its ability to thrive in humid climates that harbor a wide range of pests. Dr. Mergoum joined our hop blending where we meticulously experimented with single-hops to harmonize with the wheat variety and showcase his work. The featured wheat was grown in Colquitt, GA supplied by Mixon Seed Service, and malted by Epiphany Craft Malt in North Carolina. These local partnerships help reduce our carbon footprint and provide unique flavors. With a heavy hand of wheat and some beautiful new hops, this Wheated IPA combines a soft mouthfeel, from the wheat, and fruity and floral notes from the hops. This beer also benefits our core community impact program, Get Comfortable, with 100% of the profits addressing early reading proficiency in our local school system. #cravecuriosity #getcomfortable #creaturecomforts #godawgs
